Tadiyandamol | Difficulty Level - Easy | Many resorts, homestays are there at foothill and nearby town Virajpet | On the lap of mighty Western Ghats, Tadiyandamol is the highest peak of Coorg, quite popular amidst trekking enthusiasts. The trek starts from Nalknad Palace in Kakkabe, surrounded by coffee plantation. I suggest to visit this place after rainy season, nice place for landscape and wildlife photography. | |
Makalidurga | Difficulty Level - Medium | No hotel, suggest for a day trip from Bangalore | Makalidurga is a beautiful place if you love adventure and trek, covered with grass, bushes and cactuses. The trekking route starts from Maruthi temple at foothill next to railway track. There is ruin of a fort on top of Makalidurga hill. The 360-degree view from top of the hill is unforgettable. Please carry enough water and food, be careful from snakes. You can visit Gungur lake which is other side of SH-9 close to Makalidurga. | |
Bheemeswari | Difficulty Level - Medium | Bheemeswari JLR Nature Camp is popular jungle and nature camp/resort which is next to river Kaveri | Bheemeswari is good place for 1N-2D trip and explore surroundings, otherwise you can visit for a day trip from Bangalore. To explore the beauty of Bheemeswari, you need to cross the river (Boat services available), go to the forest area and climb the hills. Take help from local guide. The Kaveri river at Bheemeswari is also popular for river rafting and other adventure activities. | |

Hemkund Sahib & Valley of Flower | Difficulty Level - Tough and Risky | Vehicle can reach till Govind Ghat, after 6-8 hours trek next hotels/camps are available at Ghangaria which is closest village from VOF | Trek time to Ghangaria to VOF is 3 hours where you need to walk around 4-5 km. Same night come back to Ghangaria after visiting VOF. Next day you can visit Hemkund Sahib, the trek time is around 5 hours, elevation difference around 3000 mts, distance 5.4 km.
